Jason Rau is a professional grappler and black belt under former UFC champion Matt Serra.

Jason grew up in Long Island, NY. He was first introduced to grappling when he started wrestling in high school. He started training when he was 20 after being invited by a friend. Jason quickly climbed the ranks and started competing. Jason received his black belt under UFC champion Matt Serra.

Jason also trained extensively under John Danaher in the legendary blue basement, where he honed his leg-locking and technical prowess. Jason is known as being one of the most technical competitors amongst ADCC competitors.

Recently Jason has gained popularity online for his Instagram tutorials and 8 best selling BJJ fanatics instructional. He also opened up his own academy in Long Island, Vanguard Academy Jiu-Jitsu
